We recently got an email titled, “If you were a girl in the 70s…”  As we read this email and looked at the attached pictures, we couldn’t help but make a post about it and share a few of the memories with you.  If you are in your 30s or 40s, you are sure to remember a lot the items below.

1. “You often asked your magic-8 ball the question: ‘Who will I marry…Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garret, or David Cassidy?’”

2. “You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends Blueberry Muffin, and Huckleberry Pie.”

3. “You learned to skate with actual skates that had metal wheels (not roller blades).

4. ”You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the trapeze.  The swing set tipped over at least once.”

5. ”You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers.”

The images below were included in the email we receieved, and so we do not have any reference as to where they came from.  If anyone knows, we will gladly give credit to the owner.

What other memories do you have from this time period?  It’s fun to think back.  Let us know!
