According to my research in Deanna Cera, "The Jeweles of Miriam Haskell", the metal perforated back and cupped glass beads in item #1 are typical of early unsigned construction.

I believe Item #3 is Haskell. They have that soft antique gold finish that is characteristic of Haskell. The beads should be fastened to the wire grate. I have seen that spring on the clips in other Haskell pieces illustrated in Cera's book mentioned above.

I do not know about Item #2.

Comment on Female Symbol or Cross by Elizabeth

Looks kinda religious to me...if it were meant to be the symbol for 'female', I think the designer would have left the center of the ball open--like a circle instead of a ball.

I just reviewed a page of several female symbols copied over the centuries. Many were written where the bottom is an equilateral cross, and some, the crossed section is nearest the bottom. In this case, I would tend to agree that this is a female symbol! a.k.a. Venus, Mary Magdalene, the Sacred Female....and all that DaVinci code stuff.

It does really look like it could be a female symbol if turned upside down. However, on a true female symbol, the cross is closer the circle, with the main tail of the shank below the cross. It would be like a cross with a circle on the top. This cross is definitely sitting atop the circle. To me, it looks like a globe, and says the Cross (Christ) should be at the foremost of everything.
