Isn’t it interesting how things are relative? We found two of these identical Coro Duettes and the surprising thing that we noticed was that the one on the left is in extremely better condition than the pin on the right. If we had never seen the pin on the left, we would have thought that the other pin was in great condition. However, the stones are yellowed and the enamel is chipped. It’s amazing to see the difference in the way one pin has been stored and cared for through the years.
This one pin on the left is in almost MINT condition, while the one on the right could have appeared in excellent condition if it had not been placed next to the other one. Both pins are in amazing condition for pieces from the 1940s. It all depends on how someone cares for a particular piece of jewelry. Both of these pins could easily be in the same condition depending on how one took care of the jewelry. We found this comparison to be so neat that we just had to share it with you. Let us know what you think!
