Primitive Hair Locket

Category: Unique Items, What is this?

We’ve just aquired this primitve hair locket. It was found in the papers of some 1940’s watchmaker of German descent. It is pretty primitve because usually when we see victorian hair lockets they braid intricate designs with the hair, while this one just has the hair stuffed in the locket. What do you think of it? Could it be from the Victorian times or is it older. Perhaps the primitve look of the locket means that it is Georgian. If anyone has any ideas on this locket be sure to e-mail us. Check out the pictures below of it (click to enlarge).
