We’ve done some more research on Trifari flower jewelry.

Amanda and I embarked on some Patent research. We did find 4 similar Patents from 1941 125625, 125626, 12627, 126271 (All Phillipe designs) These Trifari molded or poured glass (not sure which is most appropriate in this case I have seen both terms attributed) patents resemble the Florals we have been discussing. They brought IMMEDIATELY to mind 2 pieces which I have owned in the past! Neither piece was signed!

I dropped a quick line to Jewel Collect asking if everyone thought Trifari signed almost everything (as I did). And low and behold some helpful members found evidence of unsigned Fur Clips and larger pieces! BUT it was pointed out that Trifari advertised that only signed pieces were genuine.

So we went through our photo library and this is what we found!

As you can see neither is signed!

The pink clip has a HUGE Plastic stone in the center! I have used as an example for a discussion I gave for VFCJ on Plastic Jewelry. I used it to illustrate the use of plastics stones mixed in with glass during the WWII era. They are either unsigned Trifari, or a good imitation! Let us know your thoughts.

I have one more piece for show and tell. One more Glass Petal Floral. This piece at 1st glance looks like a Trifari, but it too is unsigned. I am not happy with the construction on this one. I don’t belive it Trifari. Tell me if you think I am wrong!
